It’s days like this that I really miss my little sister Amy. I have mentioned her on my blog before. And it seems that it is always on days that I photograph sisters.
Amy is an artist…not to be prejudice but she is an extremely talented singer/songwriter. She wrote a song about our relationship that was released in 1994. Here are some of the lyrics. I think this song sums up so many sister relationships and their ups and downs.
Angela..they said that when we grew up we'd see each others worth,
They'd say we were the only people exactly like the other one, walking on this earth.
And we would call them sick and say they would change their mind if they had to share their room with...her.
Now I can say that they were right, and I'm glad they were.
Angela, you're my best friend you know my secrets...I wonder if you knew.
We've spent out grown up years, trying to make up for the things we used to do.
But thoughts of locking doors and throwing shoes and words around, our small divided room,
makes me glad we made it through, makes me glad I have you.
Angela, when I was young...I wanted to be more like you...I still do.
I miss you Amy….thank you for writing this song. When I listen to it I feel just a little closer to Vermont where you are…..snowed in today. J
Enjoy this images of these beautiful sisters photographed yesterday….
